Therapy designed
for children & their families

Birch Forest Children’s Therapy Center is a division of the Center for Change and Healing (CCH). While CCH treats teens and adults, Birch Forest offers occupational therapy and psychotherapeutic services designed to meet the unique needs of children, while guiding parents to help them at home. The licensed clinical therapists of Birch Forest use artistic, imaginative, and safe physical play therapy techniques to support children struggling from trauma, or with social-emotional, sensory, physical or developmental needs.

Clinical Play Therapy

Play is the primary job of children. It is through play that children learn to make sense of the world around them; learning, developing, growing and interacting with others and their environment. Clinical play therapy strengthens the connection between brain and body, helping children learn to regulate their bodies and emotions while engaging their interest and enjoyment. The licensed clinical therapists of Birch Forest use artistic, imaginative, and safe physical play therapy techniques to support children struggling from trauma, or with social-emotional, sensory, physical or developmental needs.
